Hey everyone!! We hope you’ve had a good start to semester 2 and a relaxing winter break after exams, we’ve been keeping very busy here at stitch and realised it was time for a long overdue check in! Before I go any further, as you may know it’s society awards season here at UofG and your favourite society wink wink would really appreciate it if you could spare a second to drop us a nomination!
So, what have we been up to? We hosted a collab with the baking society in January which was great fun and we hope to do again. Personally I was a big fan of all of the free cake hehe, but more importantly, a massive congratulations is due to our very own Niamh for winning star baker! We also ran a weaving workshop last week with the help of Lyn and our members created some amazing items!! We have plenty of other events in the diary so make sure to keep an eye on our Instagram for what’s next – you won’t want to miss it!
The past few months have seen our committee and members stitching up a storm, first up we have our president Kat and her fabulous manta ray. She got the pattern from a book from her local library, they're great resources, go check yours out!!
We also have Flora and her super impressive cross stitch creations, some of you may have seen her lighthouse cross stitch at the baking society event.
And Fiona made these super cute heart mittens!
