March Newsletter

Hi everyone, We hope you have all been having a lovely March and beginning of spring.

While in between assignments and exams we thought it would be fun to have some spring themed patterns to help destress before exam season rolls around.

Pattern Link - This pattern is to create a cute crotchet leaf garland to help brighten up any space. The pattern is written in both UK and US terminology and contains pictures of every step in the process. This plant needs very little upkeep and will never die.

Pattern Link - This pattern is to create a lovely bunny egg cosy. The pattern is great for beginners who are looking for a small project to work on and want to create a cute kitchen addition.

Pattern Link - A bunch of cute meadow flowers to embroider. Can be done as a whole piece or you can use the flowers individually. This pattern is perfect to embroider onto a tote bag or jacket!

Pattern Link - Some cross stitch flowers this time. The flowers vary in size so they can be used in different designs, or as a space filler within another project. The pattern contains regular cross stitches, some simple backstitch and a few French knots. The French knots can be replaced with a regular cross stitch as they can be difficult.

Pattern Link - This sewing pattern is to create some cute fabric eggs in time for Easter. The eggs are made using scrap fabric to give them a patchwork look and to use up some leftover fabric. A very cute and reusable decoration!

Finally, some finished makes of the month!

Flora made this cute butterfly cross stitch to celebrate her Gran’s 70th birthday.

Sam has finished this adorable blanket, which you have seen her work on throughout the semester. The colour palate is so beautiful!

And finally, this Homer cross stitch by Niamh (the author of this blog post. :) )

That’s all for March!

We hope everyone has enjoyed stitch so far this year and are looking forward to the stitch n studies being hosted soon.

Love, Stitch Society Committee xx :)
