October Newsletter

It’s the middle of October which means the month of Halloween is officially well underway! We’re getting in the spooky mood this year, so have written this blog post full of free autumnal and Halloween creations for you to try out. We hope you enjoy trying them out!

These super cute crochet patterns are great for beginners as they only have a few different stitches and are nice simple shapes. They would make great DIY decorations for your room or home, and different faces can be sewn onto these to add your own touch of personality.

These embroidery patterns are great for beginners or more experienced stitchers as you can keep them simple by using back stitch or adding more to the pattern by incorporating filling stitches or texture with French knots. These would make lovely Halloween wall displays and would be a fairly quick project to complete.

Being able to make all these plushies together would make the cutest little Halloween family for your home! But I know we’re all busy these days, so stitching a simple witch's hat is great as it can be placed on top of any decoration you already have to “Halloweenify” it.

Both these Halloween and autumnal patterns are just the things to spice up any room. With their small size and simple colour palate, these designs would be perfect to finish in time for Halloween. Both patterns contain only full stitches and some basic back stitches, so they are perfect for those who are new to the craft.

If you’re thinking of starting any of these projects, please feel free to bring them along to our Thursday events, we’d love to see how they turn out!

Have a wonderful October,

Your 2022/23 Stitch Committee <3
